Baby Casting Agents
The Actor Takes a Meeting: How to Interview Successfully with Agents, Managers, Producers, and Casting Directors Actors must take meetings to advance their careers. Seeking representation, management, auditions, or work in specific projects, they meet with agents, managers, producers, and casting directors. However, these important meetings are often unsuccessful because the actors present themselves inadequately. Lacking self-awareness and authenticity, actors frequently conduct themselves as victims or manipulators, which leads to their being seen as undesirable working partners, regardless of their acting abilities and credits. This is the first book to address the actor's self-presentation at an interview or meeting. It shows the actor how to be the host of a meeting and the initiator of an exciting experience that may lead to offers of representation, auditions, and project participation. In this book, actors will learn startling, myth-busting truths: They will learn that they will 'blow it' if interviewers look at their resumes during meetings or if they answer questions with prepared riffs about themselves or if they are on their best behaviour! Most importantly, they will learn how applying Stephen Book's practical teachings can bring about remarkable transformations of their meeting skills. (6) Agent Smith is chasing me. Today included a little bit of fun. A co-worker asked me to take some "matrix-inspired" photos of him for his website. Of course, I had to break out the speedlites :) I had four lights, but only enough charged AAs for three...shame on me. Anyway, we had some fun. In retrospect, I see where I could have made this photo a little better with a snoot or two. This photo has the color temp and tint adjusted to get the green cast ala Adobe Lightroom (great app-I highly recommend it). Strobist: Three lights used here. Nikon SB-24 camera left bare @ 1/2 zoomed to 70. Another SB-24 camera right bare @ 1/4 zoomed to 70. One Canon 550EX through an umbrella @ 1/2 above and behind me. Triggered with a combination of Pocket Wizards and optical slaves. "Was the casting agent looking for a senior dog with dramatic ear and facial fur coloring?" No, D'Artagnan, sorry--I heard she was looking for a mastiff. Rumors were rife among the dogs today--someone thought he saw some info about a casting call for a canine version of "Dancing with the Stars." I have no idea where this rumor came from. baby casting agents A good agent is essential to success in Hollywood, and this is a comprehensive directory containing thousands of up-to-date listings of agents, managers and casting directors for the film and television industry in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and other key cities.
